Sounds really great! I was already considering to start working on the
new release. I also used VirtualAlloc / Free in the old Win32 port
(much of the code was directly from SML/NJ) - but I didn't do the
heap-shrinking or anything. So maybe the GC will already work now with
MinGW as it is :)
