I attended ISMM a couple of times before. Their overwhelming focus in
the past has been on runtime GC solutions or analytic measurements
rather than on compiler papers. By all means you should give it a try,
but I'm not sure that it's the kind of forum that will generate a lot
of attention (unlike a compilers conference/workshop).

Matthew, any interest in writing up our limit check stuff for ISMM?

I was thinking of a title like "Limit Check Coalescing Using Loop
Forests". It's pretty simple work, but it seems like an ok fit. We
could pretty easily get some code size measurements and dynamic counts
of # of limit checks. Plus, we could point out that interesting
problems still remain, like your pathalogical example.
