[MLton-devel] RedHat 7.1/7.3 problems

I'm pretty sure it's a Red Hat 7.1 install with some patches.  Note, I
don't adminster these machines; they are part of a cluster of Linux
compute servers.  I use them for self-compiles, regressions, benchmarks,
etc.  The Red Hat 7.3 machines are a little faster, so I ususally try to
build there, but when they are occupied, I use the 7.1 machines. That's
where I first encountered the problem, because I had built on 7.3 and then
tried building on 7.1 and encountered this weird linking problem.

And, as Steve pointed out, the version numbers on cfs05 don't match with a
fresh 7.1 install.  A little web searching reveals that ld version
2.11.90.0.8 is the version on the Red Hat 7.2 CD.  Alain said he is
running 7.2.  

I agree that the most reasonable solution is to build RPMs on a fresh 7.1
machine.
