/usr/include/gmp.h ends with:
#define __GNU_MP_VERSION 2
#define __GNU_MP_VERSION_MINOR 0
#define __GMP_H__
#endif /* __GMP_H__ */

Although the library is named /usr/lib/libgmp.so.3

It's part of the base system, so it's actually kind of a pain to upgrade
- a newer version will go into /usr/local/ and then I'll have to be
careful to avoid the old libs and includes...

I'll build version 4 and try to link against that.
