With regards to Qt and commercial development, wouldn't the licensing problem be a pretty major stumbling block? My understanding is Qt can be used for free under the GPL, but for any thing else, you have to make a deal with the company. I.e., it is NOT LGPL (like Gtk) but only GPL.
