Of course, copy away.  You can put the debian/ subdir in the
sourceforge version too, if you'd like.  btw, I just packaged and
uploaded the most recent "experimental" version today.  It will take
it a few days to make it into the "unstable" part of the Debian
archive.

My only changes are some Makefile twiddles.  The
 cd foo; make
vs
 make -C foo
are purely esthetic, but
 cp foo bar
vs
 cp foo bar/
actually makes a difference if bar doesn't exist or isn't a directory,
and the $(prefix) stuff in the top level Makefile makes it possible to
retarget the install in a standard way.
