What does /proc/cpuinfo look like? /proc/loadavg? If you run the grinder
for 10 minutes solid, what does the output of the w command print out and
what does /proc/loadavg look like then (while the grinder is still running).

While the grinder is running, run this:

    date; procinfo
    sleep 100
    date; procinfo

with the standard output going to a file. I am assuming that the user time
will increase by about 50 and the uptime by 100. What about nice, system and
idle?

I see that the latest kernel from Red Hat in a 7.3 update is 2.4.18-27. It
might be worth upgrading.
