I don't think that the co vs update makes a difference.  When you do the co
it doesn't transfer everything.  It still checks and only transfers what
has changed.  I always do co since I never remember which side `update' is
updating and don't want to accidentally roll the CVS back to a past state.
Any way I will try update later and see if the problem goes away.
