Since it is still lacking the stability I would like to see for CVS, I
think the best thing would be to add me directly. That way I would be
able to do tests much faster than I am now (for instance the new front-
end; way to go!).

As for the proviso, most other projects I have been involved in uses
an OK policy for checkins, so that is not new to me. Here each and
every check-in made needs an OK'ed review by at least someone else,
or the change gets rolled back instantly. Larger more ''intimate''
changes needs at least 2 or 3 OKs.

The review proces often finds cracks and inconsistencies
in code[1]. In fact given my little experience with the code-base
I would actually like the review to be sure I am not messing things
up.

I can understand that. Sourceforge makes a lot of things easy
(bugtracker, mailing lists, user management etc), but the last
half year has surely been a bumpy ride from their side. I personally
would not base a new project in SF considering its state right now.

[1] not listing #ifdefs alphabetically seems to be my bad habit at
    the time being.
